A shared 2D workspace
The current editor combines drawing tools, selections, layered and grouped artwork, linked cels, indexed/grayscale/RGBA documents, animation clips, independent tilesets, and procedural 2D motion. Its scripting/API and command-line tools use the same document model.
PixelWall contains no embedded AI generator. An external assistant can use the documented editing tools, including Lua scripts, when you choose to connect it. Lua supports editable sprites, images, colors, palettes, selections and transactions. 3D rendering is not included.
Local documents and owned exports
Artwork stays on your device, with browser recovery storage and portable native files. There is no cloud project sync. Pro is a $15 one-time purchase for the listed export features, supported by a signed non-expiring offline ownership license.
The classic projector remains available
The classic editor preserves the adjustable photo-reference projector and established older game-package examples. Its controls and native format differ from the current editor.
